๐ก Overview
If your Air Ultra shows a C4 error, the wheelchair is currently in manual mode. In this mode, the wheelchair will not move under power.
This is usually caused by the rear motor release levers not being fully set to Drive mode.
Please kindly note that when using manual mode, the controller does not need to be turned on
โ What This Means
Each rear wheel has a motor release lever that controls whether the wheelchair is in:
- Drive mode (powered operation)
- Manual / Freewheel mode (no motor power)
If the levers are not fully in the correct position, the system will display a C4 error and the wheelchair will not move.
โ๏ธ Step 1: Check Freewheel Levers
Please check both rear levers (near the back wheels):
- Make sure both levers are fully in the Drive / Locked (UP) position
- Move the lever back and forth a few times to ensure it is fully engaged
- Ensure the lever is not left in a halfway or unclear position
- Even a slightly incorrect position may trigger the error code
๐ Step 2: Test the Wheelchair
After adjusting the levers:
- Place the wheelchair on a flat and safe surface
- Try operating it again using the joystick
๐น If the C4 Error Still Appears
If the C4 icon is still showing after completing the steps above, please send us a short video showing:
- The display when the wheelchair is powered on
- The position of both rear motor release levers
- The motor cable connections (if visible)
This will help our technical team quickly identify and resolve the issue.
