We’re here to help you get the absolute best performance from your OAS Air Ultra! 🧡
Your wheelchair uses a dual-battery system (Left and Right). To make sure you’re always ready for your next adventure, here is a simple, worry-free guide on how to charge them correctly.
💡 Two Quick Things to Keep in Mind
Your wheelchair has a Selector Switch that acts like a traffic controller:
I = Right Battery
II = Left Battery
O = Off (No power/No charging)
Also, remember that each battery has its own Power Switch on the side—this must be turned ON for the battery to receive power!
🔌 Method 1: Taking the Batteries Out (Easiest Method)
If you prefer to charge your batteries indoors or away from the wheelchair, this is the easiest way to do it.
Slide the battery out of the wheelchair.
Plug the charger directly into the battery.
Plug the other end into a wall outlet.
Make sure the Battery Power Switch on the battery is turned ON (otherwise, it won't take a charge!).
🔌 Method 2: Charging on the Wheelchair (Via the Joystick)
📌 Good to know: When charging through the joystick, we can only charge one battery at a time. It’s super simple—we just do them one after the other!
Step 1: Charge the Right Battery
Turn the Right Battery switch ON.
Flip your selector switch to I (Right).
Plug the charger into the port underneath your joystick controller.
Wait for the charger light to turn Green.
Step 2: Charge the Left Battery
Turn the Right Battery switch OFF, and turn the Left Battery switch ON.
Flip your selector switch to II (Left).
Let it charge until the light turns Green.
🚦 Reading the Charger Lights
🔴 Red / Orange: Your battery is happily charging.
🟢 Green: Your battery is fully charged and ready to go!
⚠️ A quick tip: If your charger light turns Green right away but you know the battery is empty, double-check your switches! If a battery switch is OFF or the selector switch is on the wrong setting, the charger cannot connect to the battery and will show a green light by mistake.
🔧 Having Trouble? Let’s Check a Few Things:
If the wheelchair won't power on or charge, take a deep breath and quickly check these steps:
Are the Battery Power Switches turned ON?
Is the Selector Switch set to I or II? (If it's on O, the chair won't start).
Are all the cables plugged in tight?
Have you tried a different wall outlet?
